Attractions
There are so many area attractions and events nearby for guest to enjoy. The cabin is located minutes from the Jefferson Landing Golf Course, an 18-hole course designed by US Open and PGA Champion, Larry Nelson.

We are also close to Zaloo's Canoes, which provides family canoe trips on the New River.

The Church of the Frescoes, Parish of the Holy Communion, is located in nearby Glendale Springs.

Guest will also enjoy the Ashe County Cheese Factory, the only cheese making plant of its kind in the area. The plant produces around 50,000 pounds of cheese each week, and it is open year-round for visitors to see how the cheese is made.

Every spring, Merlefest is held in Wilkesboro, just a short drive from the cabin. Merlefest is an annual tribute to the music of Doc and Merle Watson, and locals and visitors from all over come to enjoy this festival every year.

Tweetsie Railroad is located in nearby Boone. Tweetsie is a Wild West theme park that features a 3-mile ride on a steam railroad. The park also offers live entertainment and rides for guests of all ages.

Also located in Boone is Mystery Hill, a "crooked house" where guests can defy gravity and see a ball roll uphill. Mystery Hill is entertainment for the whole family any time of the year.

Grandfather Mountain is the highest peak in the Blue Ridge Mountains and a globally recognized nature preserve. It is also one of the most visited attractions in the High Country. With the Mile High Swinging Bridge, wildlife habitats, and many hiking trails, there's something for everyone to see and do.
